The Nigeria Entrepreneurs Award is a platform created to celebrate and honour young & emerging entrepreneurs, business executives, corporate organizations and heads of government agencies who have positively impacted the economy of our country Nigeria. We believe entrepreneurs occupy a more central position in a market economy, activating and stimulating economic activity. The economic success of any nation is the result of encouraging and rewarding the entrepreneurial instinct.

We seeks to reward excellence among the most committed and dedicated businesses operating in Nigeria. The idea behind the Nigeria Entrepreneurs Award is to imbibe a culture of excellence in young and emerging business leaders and showcase thriving businesses in the Nigeria.

Now in its 5th edition, Nigeria Entrepreneurs Award have celebrated some of the best-known personalities in corporate Nigeria, some of the winners of this prestigious and highly celebrated Award exemplify the very best in their businesses.

PAST EDITIONS

THE MAIDEN EDITION of the Nigeria Entrepreneurs Award was held at the Oriental Hotel Lagos on the 5th of December 2014. With outstanding entrepreneurs and corporate organizations who have contributed positively to the growth of the Nigeria economy in 2014 where awarded.

THE 2ND EDITION of the Nigeria Entrepreneurs Award was a huge success, with well over 500 top Entrepreneurs from various sectors of the economy gathered at the Ladi Kwali Hall, Sheraton Hotel Abuja, to celebrate the outstanding contributions of Nigeria entrepreneurs to the growth of our nation’s economy as well as deliberate on ways to harness opportunities for market expansion and entrepreneurial development.

THE 3RD EDITION of the Nigeria Entrepreneurs Award which held on the 18th of November 2016, at the Ladi Kwali hall Sheraton Hotel, Abuja was a mixture of glitz and glamour. Speaking at the event, Abdullahi Ganduje, Governor of Kano State called for more involvement of the youths in Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) to enhance economic growth and ensure food sustainability in the country.

The governor said that the SMEs needed more attention than they were currently getting to promote the efforts of the Federal Government to diversify the economy. "In order to feed ourselves, produce and export, we have to look at the SMEs," he said.

The Acting Managing Director and Chief Executive of the Nigerian Export-Import Bank (NEXIM), Mr. Bashir Wali, said that SMEs were regarded globally as the bedrock of development in any economy. Wali was represented by Head of Strategic Planning, NEXIM, Mr Tayo Omidiji.

THE 4TH EDITION: Since its inception some years ago, the Nigeria Entrepreneurs Award has recognized and celebrated top/emerging entrepreneurs and corporate organizations in Nigeria with exceptional long-term accomplishments.

The 2017 edition of the award dinner which was held on the 7th of December, at the Ladi Kwali Conference Hall, Sheraton Hotel Abuja with the Theme: “Promoting Nigeria SMES, Inspiring Growth” was well attended as over one thousand young and emerging entrepreneurs, business executives, heads of corporate organizations, heads of Governments agencies and the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu were in attendance. Also in attendance was the Director General of the Small & Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) ably represented by the Director, Strategic Partnership and Liaison Dept. Dr. Friday Okpara.
